Enhancement ad hoc Committee
The steering committee which developed our long range plan has organized the list of projects for implementation. The assignments have been issued to a mix of standing committees, staff, and the Board of Trustees. Issues to be addressed include: Public Streetscape, Signage, Land Use, Community Profile, City Services, Historic Preservation, German Village relationships, Infrastructure, Safety, Financial Resources, and Tourism. A number of exciting projects will result from the foundation of organization and vision provided by the Enhancement Committee. This strategic plan for improving the community assures us that we will realize our mission of developing the Village to function as a vibrant, safe, and attractive urban neighborhood in the 21st century. |

Parks, Public Spaces & Community Events
With representatives from an amazing variety of volunteer groups from Huntington Garden to the Softball League, this committee serves as a communications clearing house for the variety of projects and programs that impact our public spaces. The Cultural Affairs Program and Fun Committee activities also fall within the scope of this committee's work.
Historic Preservation
The members of the Historic Preservation Committee meet regularly to review trends and issues that impact our neighborhood. Ongoing projects include the revision of the German Village Architectural Guidelines and a review of land use policies. Committee members say the lively exchange of ideas and opinions ensures great attendance at the monthly meetings!
Civic Relations
Our Civic Relations Committee acts as liaison to the various city offices providing service in German Village: parking issues, trash collection, and the much-needed capital improvements to existing infrastructure are just some of the challenging concerns the members of the Civic Relations Committee address on our behalf. It may not be the most glamorous subject matter, but it is some of our most critical!
